Designex07 BuildNZ ASB Showgrounds

Automated Solutions Ltd have just successfully completed the Installation and programming of the Feature Build at designex07.

The showhome provided a real challenge as it was fully constructed and operational in 7 days.

Automated Solutions pre-wired the building allowing electrical services for the lighting, fireplaces LCDs and bar.

The home was fitted out with Clipsal CBus products allowing full control of the Lighting and automatic blinds from SP blinds.

The Automation side of the showhome was great, as it gave us a chance to show off some of clipsals new products and the flexibility of the system.

The showhome included the following.

Colour Touch Screen

Black and white desktop screen

Wireless remotes and power plugs

DLT Digital Labelled switches

Saturn switches (glass switches)

Reflection switches (Flush stainless switch)

Neo (modern led switch)

The automation system showed its flexibility when it came to selling itself and the manufacturers products within the home.

Part way through the first day we realised people were unsure how the blinds worked, so we set them on a schedule to go up and down automatically every 2 minutes.

The floor lights were to hot and had the possibilty of burning visitors shoes so they were dimmed down. If anyone turned them back up to full using the switches it was not a problem as we had the entires house reset to a default setting every 4 minutes.

On the last day we also had the dining area lights including wireless controlled floor lamps dimm and ramp back up every 5minutes.
